Biedermann und die Brandstifter, starring Peter Sutton

Peter Sutton gives regular public readings.

In 2018, Peter Sutton will be reading his poetry at Ledbury Poetry Salons, Worcester Speakeasy, and meetings of Herefordshire Stanza. He recently performed at an Elgar Poetry Evening with poets Lesley Ingram, Nina Lewis and Michael Wyndham Thomas, and gave a poetry workshop for the Armenian Institute, London.

He has read from his translation of Piers Plowman at events including Ilkley Literature Festival, Ledbury Poetry Festival, South Downs Poetry Festival, Stamford Verse Poetry Festival, Worcester Festival , the International Congress on Medieval Studies, the International Piers Plowman Society Conference and with renowned medieval musicians Alan Crumpler and David Hatcher at the Lion Ballroom, Leominster.

Peter Sutton as John Shakespeare

Peter Sutton is also a playwright. He was invited to perform his own work at an international Shakespeare festival in 2006, was asked to write about Elgar for the composer's anniversary in 2007, was commissioned to write a presentation on Langland for the Autumn in Malvern Festival in 2012, and had his play about a modern-day Punch and Judy accepted and premiered in 2013.
